About Us

CiS Options is a research and trading firm with expertise in the Commodity Derivatives markets. The firm provides analytics to hedge funds seeking exposure in those areas. CiS also advises Commodity Brokers on the logistical and technological issues affecting their businesses.

Most recently, CiS Options has partnered with George Vrljicak, Research Director at Primary Software and inventor of the Bondex trading platform, on the design and implementation of a new proprietary software system. The software contains an algorithm which identifies high probability convergence strategies in emerging markets currencies. It is currently being used by Obelisk Partners.

Key Personnel:

Vincent Lanci, Managing Partner
Mr. Lanci has 18 years experience as a commodity derivative trader. Prior to starting CiS Options in 2004, he was the owner/operator of Berard Capital Management, an independent marketmaking firm with membership on the Nymex, Comex and Nybot exchanges. The firm employed approximately 30 people at its peak in 2003. He was partner in Upper hand Trading Technologies, a developer of commodity risk management software. Prior to starting Berard Capital in 1993, he was a senior energy trader and commodities risk manager at Cooper Neff and Associates. He is a member of the GLG Council.

Guido Valenzuela, Data and Marketplace Analysis

Mr. Valenzuela is well versed in creating Indices using data from a market approach perspective. He has a degree in Industrial engineering from the BA Institute of Technology. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst, having been approved at all three CFA program levels. He started his career at Denario.com as a Financial and Economics Analyst, where his main responsibility was to follow up and complete the “Denario Liquidity Index” and other market approach indexes. Prior to that he was a Financial Analyst in the Real Estate markets.

Gabriela Ricciardi, Research and Business Analysis

Ms. Ricciardi holds a degree in Accounting from the University of Buenas Aires. Her responsibilities include the research and analysis of the Commodity Derivatives industry including regulatory and technological affects on it. She began her career at Deloitte.
